NaNoWriMo 2014 - Week 2

This is the second update for NaNoWriMo. I'm pretty happy with my progress although I feel like I could do better. The story is shaping up rather nicely and I'm confident I can make the 50k fairly comfortably. In fact, I'll be quite pleased if I can get the entire first draft of the novel done by the end of the month.
